Excursion Domaine de fontenay tour at Antsiranana

Le Domaine de Fontenay is situated in Joffreville, at 34km from the harbor, a village a short distance from Diego Suarez, located on the flanks of Montagne d'Ambre, and boasting picturesque, late nineteenth century colonial architecture derived from a former French Army health center.

This place is also within easy reach of the well-known Montagne d'Ambre National Park. A tourism highlight in Madagascar, Le Domaine de Fontenay provides the perfect base for discovering the primary forest, home to numerous lemurs, and where one can also see a great variety of orchids, most of which are endemic to the Diego Suarez region. Its altitude of 760m ensures a temperate and healthy climate throughout the year and is malaria-free.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking, between 30 and 90 minutes depending on the option chosen, making this tour less suitable for those with limited mobility.
