A mini cruise to the Bahamas is always an excellent choice: Great Stirrup Cay is a true paradise, with dreamlike beaches and crystal-clear, warm waters, enhanced by all the comforts of Norwegian’s service, including buffet dining, entertainment, and facilities available on shore as well. Nassau is a must-see stop for passionate cruisers: even the port area alone, with its many docked cruise ships and countless shops, is an attraction in itself. For those seeking peaceful, postcard-perfect beaches, I recommend heading to Paradise Island, home to the famous Atlantis Resort. Last but not least, the departure from the Port of Miami—this alone is worth the trip.

All the islands visited during this cruise are stunning, some of which had already been visited on previous cruises, yet always remain truly dreamlike. The Caribbean offers an incredible variety of landscapes: from the crystal-clear waters of the Dutch Caribbean, such as Aruba and Curaçao, to the lush green scenery of the Virgin Islands and the Dominican Republic. The Bahamas are always a guarantee. Nassau, with its many beaches and attractions; and Great Stirrup Cay, a true paradise for lovers of white-sand beaches and crystal-clear waters, enhanced by the comforts of the ship brought ashore: buffet, entertainment, and top-level services. GSC is the best private island among those of cruise lines experienced so far. Overall, a well-designed 12-night itinerary, with an excellent balance between sea days and port calls (all of them very long and ideal for exploring each destination at a relaxed pace).
