Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 2.5-hour drive to Bangkok, with a comfort stop en route. Upon arrival, your first stop is at Wat Trimit (Golden Buddha Temple) built by three Chinese comrades around 150 years ago. It was restored in 1937, and granted the new name of Wat Trimitwitthayaram. The main attraction in the temple is the incredible Golden Buddha Image. Weighing in at approximately 5.5 tons (about five metric tons) and standing over ten feet (about three metres) in height, this massive statue dates back to the 700-year-old Sukhothai period.
Old City, Chinatown, Grand Palace, Ratchadamnoen Avenue, Reclining Buddha Temple
Next, re -board your coach and continue on for a sightseeing drive through Bangkok's Old City. Along the way, pass by Chinatown, Grand Palace, Ratchadamnoen Avenue, and more. Afterward, a visit is made to Wat Wat Po (Temple of the Reclining Buddha). One of the largest and oldest temples in Bangkok, Wat Po is home to more than 1,000 Buddha images. It is named after the largest single Buddha image, that of a reclining Buddha measuring approximately 151 feet (about 46 metres) long and approximately 49 feet (about 15 metres) high. The Buddha image is decorated with gold plating on his body, and mother-of-pearl on his eyes and the soles of his feet.

Please note: This tour involves a moderate amount of walking for approximately 547 yards (about 500 metres), at times over uneven and cobblestone surfaces, with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach and at the Marble Temple, and 100 steps at the Golden Buddha Temple. Walking in Bangkok is at the discretion of each guest. This tour is not suitable for guests prone to motion sickness, guests with limited mobility and guests who utilise a wheelchair. Guests are advised to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing with flat, closed-toe walking shoes, and bring sun protection and Thai Baht and credit cards for purchases from the ship. Proper attire is required to enter the temples; shorts and bare shoulders are not permitted. Shoes must be removed when entering religious sites; bring an extra pair of heavy socks for comfort, as the pavement may be hot. Guests must be at least four years old to participate on this tour. The driving distance between the pier and Bangkok is approximately 2.5 hours in each direction. Please listen carefully to the guide's instructions about your return departure from Bangkok.
