This policy grants visa-free entry to travelers holding an ordinary passport from thirty-eight countries, including: France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Malaysia, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Australia, Poland, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Slovenia, Slovakia, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Andorra, Monaco, Liechtenstein, South Korea, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Malta, Estonia, Latvia, Japan, and Negara Brunei Darussalam.
From November 30, 2024, to December 31, 2025, ordinary passport holders from the aforementioned 38 countries may be exempt from a visa to enter China and stay for up to 30 days for purposes of business, tourism, family visits, exchange visits, and transit. Those who do not comply with the purposes of visit and time limits specified in the visa exemption policy are still required to apply for a visa to China.
In addition to extending the unilateral visa exemption policy to more countries, the category of exchange visits will be included among those eligible for visa exemption, and the visa-free stay duration will be extended to 30 days compared to the previous policy.
