- No Dentist Onboard: While ships are equipped with modern medical facilities and plenty of medical staff, you won't find a single dentist on board. In case of emergencies, unfortunately, you'll have to wait until the next port of call to lend and seek dental care. Waste Separation: Cruise liners, especially the most modern ones, function like mobile smart cities. There's a dedicated 'trash department' where waste is meticulously sorted and disposed of according to regulations enforced in the first available port.
- Grab Your Dog With You: Your furry friend can accompany you on a cruise to the other side of the world. Sorry, but don't get too excited. The only cruise that allows pets on board is the Cunard Queen Mary 2, but only on the Southampton – New York round trip route. It's not possible on all other cruises.

Firstly, there's the 'security room,' a sort of prison where offenders can be held until handed over to authorities. The second is the morgue. Yes, sometimes it happens. After all, it's a whole floating city.
- Adults-Only Cruises: Some companies have a policy that prohibits minors from boarding their ships. It's not about being 18+, but about enjoying peace and quiet without the screaming, squealing, and fuss.
